FAQ

Common questions, answered plainly.

If your question is not here, please ask. I am happy to explain how the process works for your family.

How early should we begin an application?

It depends on the student's age and the type of study. As a general guide, popular schools and competitive courses reward early preparation, often 12 months or more ahead. We can map a realistic timeline together in an initial conversation.

What documents are usually required?

This varies by institution and level of study, but typically includes academic records, proof of English where required, identification and, for some applications, a personal statement. I provide a personalised checklist so you only prepare what is genuinely needed.

Can you assist with primary and secondary school applications?

Yes. I support applications to Australian primary and secondary schools, both government and independent, and can explain the differences between school types and enrolment processes.

Can you help us compare institutions and courses?

Yes. Comparing providers, courses and pathways is a core part of education planning. I explain the trade-offs so you can make an informed choice based on the student's fit, not just a ranking.

Do you guarantee admission?

No. No honest agent can guarantee admission, a visa or any outcome. What I offer is careful preparation, realistic advice and clear communication to give each application its best genuine chance.

Do you charge a professional service fee?

Fees depend on the scope of support. Any professional service fee is explained and agreed clearly before you commit to anything. There are no hidden charges.

Do you receive commissions from education providers?

Some institutions pay agents a commission. Where a commission arrangement is relevant to your decision, I disclose it. My recommendations are based on student suitability, not on which provider pays the most.

Can you help with a visa?

I am an education consultant, not a registered migration agent, so I do not provide visa or immigration advice. Where you need immigration assistance, I refer you to a registered migration agent or an Australian legal practitioner.

Can families in China use your services?

Yes. Many families begin working with me while still in China. Consultations can be arranged around Australia and China time zones.

Can consultations be conducted by WeChat or video call?

Yes. I regularly hold consultations by WeChat and video call, as well as in person in Sydney where suitable.

Not sure which school or course is right for you or your child?

Book an initial conversation so we can understand the student's background, goals and preferred study timeline. The initial consultation is free and carries no obligation.
