Founder's Reflections - Why did I start DiHui Education?

Situation
I began my education journey in Australia after completing an Advanced Diploma of Electronics Engineering at TAFE with a full scholarship. After TAFE, I wanted to continue my studies at university, so I started researching Australian universities, relevant courses, visa requirements, and future career pathways. My original academic background was in electronics engineering, but during this process I discovered a strong interest in multimedia, digital media, and the connection between creative design and information technology.
Solution
I first chose to study a Bachelor of Multimedia at Swinburne University, as I was attracted by the university’s reputation in design and creative industries. During this degree, I became increasingly interested in the technical side of digital media, especially how multimedia connects with information technology. After completing my Bachelor of Multimedia, I decided to continue developing this interest and applied for the Master of Information Technology at the University of Sydney, majoring in Multimedia. After completing my Master of IT, I went through the relevant IT professional skills assessment process and prepared my own permanent residency application based on my personal circumstances at the time.
Outcome
I successfully completed my Bachelor of Multimedia at Swinburne University and later completed my Master of Information Technology at the University of Sydney, majoring in Multimedia. After graduation, I completed the relevant IT professional skills assessment process and prepared my own permanent residency application. I was very fortunate to obtain Australian permanent residency. Before receiving my PR, I had already secured a full-time role with a private company that was part of a Fortune 500 group. This experience became an important foundation for Dihui Education. It taught me how thoughtful education planning can connect a student’s interests, academic background, industry needs, career development, and future opportunities. It also shaped my belief that good education consulting should be personal, practical, and carefully matched to each student’s long-term goals.

From TESOL Study to University Lecturer

Situation
A student from my extended family came to me for advice when she was considering further study in Australia. She had an interest in education and language teaching, and wanted to find a postgraduate program that could support her long-term career development in teaching. At that time, I was not acting as an education agent. However, based on my own study experience in Australia and my understanding of university research, I helped her compare different study options and understand how a TESOL qualification could support her future goals.
Solution
Story 2
Outcome
She chose to study the Master of TESOL at Monash University and successfully completed the degree. After returning to China, she secured a lecturer position at a university. This outcome showed how a carefully chosen education pathway can support a student’s professional development and open new career opportunities. For me, this experience was meaningful because it showed that thoughtful course research and honest guidance can make a real difference, even before I formally established Dihui Education.
